Frequently asked questions
Is the QR scanner free?
Yes. It is free, needs no account and adds no watermark.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Scanning happens inside your browser on your own device. The picture never leaves it.
Why does the camera not start?
Browsers only allow camera access on secure (HTTPS) pages and after you give permission. If it is blocked, allow the camera in your browser settings or upload a screenshot instead.
Why was no QR code found in my image?
The code may be blurry, cropped, tilted at a sharp angle or very small. Use a sharp photo where the whole code, with its white border, is visible. A screenshot works best.
Is it safe to open a scanned link?
A QR code can hide any address. Read the link shown in the result and open it only if you trust it. Be careful with codes from unknown stickers, emails or messages.
Which QR codes can it read?
Standard QR codes: links, text, WhatsApp links, Wi-Fi details, email, phone and similar. It does not read barcodes or Aztec/Data Matrix codes.
